Dr. Nelson Rock grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado, and eventually found his way to Arizona through his wife, Kayla, who grew up in Gilbert. Together, they are raising their three children and are proud to call the East Valley home.

Dr. Nelson Rock comes from a family of six boys. Of his five brothers, only Aaron joined him in dentistry and now practices alongside him as a co-owner of the practice. Their shared passion for dentistry and commitment to providing excellent patient care is a cornerstone of their practice.

Before pursuing dentistry, Dr. Nelson Rock served a two-year church mission in Brazil, where he developed a lasting appreciation for the Brazilian people and culture. He went on to attend Brigham Young University for his undergraduate education before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. While at Ohio State, he graduated at the top of his class with Summa Cum Laude honors and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the national dental honor society recognizing outstanding academic and professional achievement.

Outside of the office, Dr. Nelson Rock enjoys spending time with Kayla and their three children. When he isn’t with his family or caring for patients, you can usually find him hiking, road biking, or weightlifting.

Dr. Nelson Rock is passionate about combining excellent clinical care with a personal approach, taking the time to get to know each patient and help them achieve a healthy, confident smile.

Dr. Aaron Rock grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado, alongside his five brothers. His path eventually led him to dentistry, where he now practices alongside his brother, Dr. Nelson Rock, as a co-owner of the practice.

Before beginning his dental career, Dr. Rock served a two-year church mission in Brazil. He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate education before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Rock is passionate about providing high-quality, personalized dental care and building lasting relationships with his patients. He enjoys working alongside his brother and their team to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and well cared for.

Dr. Rock and his wife, Sara, have two children. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his favorite hobbies, including golf, road biking, and reading.

DeAnna Buckley is our office manager. She takes such pride in her job and care for her patients. She has been in dentistry for over 15 years. Her passion for people is undeniable and her attention to detail makes her a great asset to our team. When asked why she chose dentistry her reply was, “I love dentistry because of the life long connections I make and the memories we make happen. The pain we can take away, the smiles that appear and the people we get to know”. When she is not in the office she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to new places, hiking, and playing in the sun.

I am an Arizona native. Being a military spouse, I’ve had the opportunity to reside in many others states such as Mississippi, Alaska, and North Dakota. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from NAU in 2012. I have always known I wanted to be in healthcare because my biggest passion is helping people.

In my past-time I have two little ones ( a boy and a girl) that are very active and keep me busy. We love spending time outdoors going for walks, swimming, hiking, and camping. Some of my favorite hobbies are photography and reading.

This is Itzmalzin (Itzy). She graduated from East Valley Institute of Technology with a certificate in Dental Assisting. She has always had a hunger to learn and continue to grow in Dentistry. When asked why she chose dentistry she replied, “I love seeing people smile. I love the happiness they feel when they see the smile they have envisioned for themselves for the first time. I think to myself, wow, I get to be a part of that”.

In her spare time she loves spending time with her family and friends. She has a little sister, two nephews and a niece that take most of her time. Itzy has one of the biggest hearts and has such a sweet compassion for all her patients. She is so special and we are extremely happy she is such an important part of the Sossaman Dental Team Family.
